Do you think I should try taking the egg out of the carton and see if that helps motivate the chick to hatch?

it seemed like once mine pipped the the other chick walking around on them made them zip faster. Maybe the movement would agitate them alittle.

Or find someone who sells the day old chicks (not a hatchery) so you can get your own eggs next year.

How are your other baby chicks doing? What kind are they and where did you get them (I forgot).

So these are the only 3 cochin chicks that made it out of a dozen shipped BBS eggs. The one on the right is black and the one on the left is blue... i dont know about the middle one it looks light blue. But could it be splash? It doesn't look cream colored like the pic of the splash chick posed preivously

OMG....I love cochins...I have about 9 eggs from my two girls in the incubator...one of my girls was killed by a racoon....so I am praying to at least get a few of them. The eggs looked good. Looking for a local fella so I can get some of his after this hatch and will try and get some more.

Still waiting for the first sign....day 19 just started a few minutes ago.
