Yay!!! I have some pretty active chick embryos at 11 days.
Candled today and every single egg 16 of them had very active chickies-to-be.
Some air gaps were larger than others. Humidity is holding pretty high at 65-67%
I hope that's not too high at this stage.
Oh oh Oh! I caught my husband! I came home and was preparing to give my sick chicken a shot (she's in the house). I asked my DH to hold her for me, he then proceeds to tell me "she really likes those sunflower seeds doesn't she!" He said he checked on her when he got home and gave her some treats. This is the same man who doesn't "like" chickens!! I think I am slowly converting him to the darkside!!

I had 3 pips this morning but nothing has happened with those eggs since then.... I went in about 2:30 this afternoon just to peek and pow a totally separate egg with no pips showing just popped open !! So I have one little one chirping away....I've named her/him Nicki in honor of St Nicholas Day....Dec 6th... it is a European tradition we always celebrated as kids, by putting our list in a wooden shoe and St Nick would pick up the list and leave a little present...! Hope I have more to keep this one company... If nothing more happens to the 3 that have little cracks should I just wait and see??
Happy birthday bikerchic...is it today?..mine is next week...am so jealous of all you guys still hatching ...I guess now I will just have time to sit and enjoy my silkies and watch how they grow...
