How's your new peeps? Anything going on with the remaining eggs?

I have 7 in lockdown, I snuck 15 more eggs into the other incubator yesterday. I was nervous that my DH was going to catch me but I got them in there without detection

bubble wrapped eggs are not something quietly opened, but I did it!!

No nothing still from the others, don't think the rest are going to do anything, but I am happy with my hatch still!!!

My little chicks are so cute, and I am really glad I at least had 2 so 1 wouldn't be lonely!

LOL, that's too funny, yea bubble wrap is not very quiet, you must have been super sneaky,

What kind did you get this time??? And what are the 7 you have in lockdown? I can't keep up, lol.

Everyone seems to favor incubators over letting their hens hatch them, is there a reason for that?
Otherwise we have a Christmas Eve hatch day!!! Yay!
2 Aurcanas
1 silver laced camping
and 2 RIR or BO's

and my roos are a blue silkie or my d'unncle bantum....
what will they be??? Yay! I'm so excited. I could hatch baby frogs and I'd still love them!!!
So exciting!

Oh if I had a broody hen I would definetly let her hatch them, I have 2 silkie hens I am hoping will go broody one day.

I am interested to see what my silkie that just hatched will turn out looking like, mom was a buff silkie, and not sure on the dad, could have been my buff silkie roo or my golden laced bantom, should be interesting, lol.

Hello all! My hatch is finished and, from the 17 eggs that I set in the incubator, 4 were clear (infertile), and three never hatched, and I opened them and there were fully developed shrink wrapped babies

.

BUT, I've got 12 healthy happy chicks! 3 are Polish bantams, and 9 are bantam Cochins......ADOREABLE!

Congrats to everyone so far that has has some success! This incubating isn't for the faint of heart, that's for sure!
