Anyone HATCHING?!?!? Newbie's and addicts WELCOME!!!! Hatch Calendar page 1!!!!

if he's fine now then i would put him in now
okay I help it out ..... it was stuck....I pried back a bunch of shell and put it back in the bator but the other chicks start picking on it pecking its leg etc etc. I panicked and took it back out and helped some more... well it hadn't absorbed the yolk sack all the way but didn't seem to be attached. It has a red bump on its bum where it incomplete absorption is.... It is VERY FEISTY but still the other chicks were picking on it as it was learning to stand so I moved him to his own warm safe place.... He made it through the night and is still feisty this morning.... How long should I keep him away from other chicks??? Do I wait until his bottom has healed? I am also worried that he will need nutrients much sooner as he didn't get them all from the yolk.... but am afraid to encourage anything that will stress his little system. Am I worrying too much :)

My other eggs are doing nothing and it is day 21.... I am guessing they aren't going to hatch but I'll give them a few more days....

Help Tank my 1st born big linebacker black Orpington chick squirted clear liquid not sure out of where.... Looked like he was choking rolled on his back and continued.
I picked him up and held him in my hand for a long long time .... He is breathing but not active at all
i gave him a few drops of baby vitamins and water with electrolytes.
His eyes aren't open and I put him back in the bator to keep him cozy.

Any thoughts? What could have cause this?? This was my healthiest chick by far!!!
I just stand and stare at the incubator watching him breath.

Oh no I'm so sorry!!

I have never had that happen to me, I would keep giving him chick vitamins and keep a close eye on him, have you checked his bottom to make sure it isn't stuck closed? I have had that happen and took a warm wash cloth and rubbed it till I could see his bottom and when he was finally able to go he was so much better.

I got 8 BCM eggs from another BYC member in an egg swap and 3 hatched today!!! I normally never do this but I had to unwrap 2 of them that had gotten shrink wrapped due to low humidity. Anyone have any suggestions where to get a good hydrometer but not real expensive?
Just wanted to share and ask my question. Hope I didn't crash an on going conversation.

I got a accurite from walmart. I wouldn't call it "good" but I calibrated it, so I know how much it is off, so I just add that to the number it shows. The temprature on it is very accurate. I use two of them, plus a wetbulb thermometer and the one that came with the incubator.

I got my incubator yesterday

there is a pic of it on my page. I got out my camera to take a pic to put on here and the battery is dead. I downloaded one off of my phone. I haven't fired it up yet except at the sellers house. I asked DH to check the wiring for me before I plug it up. Who knows when that will happen
