I just had one of the 5 bantam faverolles that made it to lockdown hatch. One more has pipped. It's day 20. I hope to get at least 3 chicks

I have been hatching silkies for the past two days! I wonder what will hatch tomorrow .

Well here are some pics of the babies! We've been having issues with the internet here lately where it hasnt been wanting to connect..
8 Serama babies hatched out but I just lost one the other night for some unknown reason...
Here are the remaining babies.. everyone is 5-6 days old now and 2 of the 7 are Silkied!!

Seriously! They are lovely birds and for the most part are sweet birds! All of my babies are very sweet for the exception of my Silkied Frizzle roo who isnt even nice to his girls.. I've been working with him and he doesnt peck you anymore but he just has anger issues so he needs to find a new home.. But here is a pic of my 2 Ocotober hatches and my August hatch laying on my father.. this is all of my babie's natural attitudes (excluding the roo I just mentioned)

Hatched 8 Birchen Marans yesterday (2 to go today, hopefully); 12 coros to be locked down next week , 18 RIR, 11 Specked Sussex to be locked down TG week, 20 Barred Rock, 20 Leghorns, 10 Buff Sussex--will all hatch by 11/30/11.

Also, congrats on the Birchen's Waltzing Matilda! I have 9 Splash Marans that are due to hatch next week. Gotta love those Marans!

I am trying to refrain from candling my Silkie eggs, as I am only on day 3, but I just want to see those veins!

Hopefully I can make it to the weekend at least...
