Here are a couple pics of my three ladies that lay green eggs. I'll be cleaning the coop this afternoon and will upload some better pics today but you can see them here.

The one on the left is a BO, the other three in the back are the 'mama's'

in this one, the BO is the second one on the left. the others from left to right are called black mama (due to her coloring), bald mama (she is roo's fav and often bald on her tail end) and my FAV chicken of all Mama! Mama is the one with her head down.

these pics are all from last year, just before they started laying. they are a little over a year old now. Oh, i forgot to mention before, they all have green legs but none of their babies do.

I went outside and took a few pic of the mama's and their babies.

this is black mama, not sure how well you can see them but she has tufts on her face.

this is bald mama with a nice image of our roo's bald tail end, not sure what's up with that, molting maybe? he's a year old now.

this is Mama, currently sitting on 6 eggs.

and these are their 6 babies I hatched over Mother's day. you can see bald mama and black mama in the background.

Progress update: lots of rocking around by several eggs, I can hear peeping and two have pipped!!! one brown (#10) and one green (#3) have pipped so far.

chick#10 has hatched!!!! what a wonderful surprise to wake up to this morning! it was one that pipped last night.

chick is still drying out but looks to be black in coloring, so cute!!!

How is your family get- together going? I hope you have hatches while people are there. Then they will finally understand how endearing and addictiong the whole thing is. You may even have converts, bwa ha ha haaa.

Morning update- 12 pheasants out with at least two more trying. 1 Chicken chick out with 2 more pipped eggs.

mine are due sunday the 26th but i think i seen one peeped...
here is the evil hen on the eggs..she wants to rip my hand off so i had to nudge her back a little with a stick...

two more just hatched! I was so busy watching one of the EE's that had been zipping I missed one of the brown eggs hatching!! then I missed the EE I was watching when one of the kids called for me.

6 have hatched so far, 4 brown, 2 EE.

lots more pips, not all of them but a good many have. two have pipped on the small end?!? just going to keep an eye on them seem ok so far.
