four more just hatched (2 brown, 2 green).

had a longer update but my phone just ate it!!

anyway will update longer when I go back to my PC. currenty GLUED to bator!

so far a total of 8 have hatched, 4 of each.

how's everyone else's hatch going?

suzypyoung - just because you asked....Some pics from the hatch, not fantastically clear but best I can do for right now. I will post better pics when I can get a couple minutes of quiet (kids are really excited)!

this is one of the green eggs, pipped. The green glow you see one of those snap/glow sticks--i thought it would help give me some light in there (i didn't).

Here's a couple (kinda blurry) of some of the first few to hatch. so far all but two of the brown eggs have hatched black chicks. All of the olive eggs have hatched yellow chicks.

So far, 13 have hatched and we can see pips in another 10. We set a total of 28, dropped but ended up adding one our hen was sitting on. Of those 28 we know one was not fertile and one is at least a week behind so that leaves only 3 that we haven't yet seen pip.

americana chick--thanks! and thanks for taking a look and confirming EE's. I would hate to call them EE's if they aren't.

egg #18 just hatched. Another brown egg, this one is dark too.

two more out...#13 and 17.

17 was a really, really tiny egg (prob should not have set it at all(. Chick looks a little smaller, won't really be able to tell until it's all dried and fluffy but it looks sooo cute! Mostly black coloring.

two more of the EE's are zipping now.

#2 AND #4 have hatched! two more EE's. both light in color.

we are up to 23 hatched now!!! there are five left, was pipping and starting to zip when we ran out. last two brown ones are the infertile and the younger one (not expecting either to hatch). two more greens ones (#1 and 11) that have not pipped. going to give them another day to see if they do.

heard peeps this morning so just a little bit ago i had son help me as it has been quite all day since the first peep sounds...
so he lifted her real fast and i took a fast snap shot...

guess i had only put 14 under her...
but 4 out so far with more pips
