I had 3 of 9 hatch today but I think everyone has settled down for the night. We'll see what happens tomorrow. Anyone else hatching?

I have one Turkey egg that has started to PIP, will have to wait till later to see how this story ends.

Just took a small peek under momma. One of yesterdays chicks was out and about so mom was particularly snarky. But another egg is zipping!!

WE are due Thurday

Ameraucanas, a couple of Silkies, a couple of Black Coppers, and a Couple of Wheaten Marans.

There are about 30 Ameraucana Eggs, hopefully we get a good bunch of splashes.

I had three runner ducks hatch 2 fawn/white and 1 black. One is full of energy, but the other too are tired. I will post pictures when they dry off.

UPDATE! Got 6 babies so far! 6 out of 9 and she is still sitting tight. Can't get pics yet as she is keeping them mostly tucked up under her.

I've been reading your posts for a couple of weeks and now I'm stuck! I have five pips in a forced air LG and they all seem really dry. One has been pipped since yesterday:/

. I know some people spray them with water and some really want you to sit on your hands. Wish I could disconnect the fan because I think that's what is drying them out. How long should I wait?

1 Austrolorp hatched last night; there was one Crested Polish pipped. This morning that egg is starting to zip; 2 others have pips. Yay! Right on time, too, which means my homemade bator is holding just the right temps.
