Anyone have a guess...BO male?

Thanks, Jody, he definately is not that developed in the wattles. He/she is soooooo much smaller than the other pullets. The comb is lots bigger than the rest, but he is the littlest of the bunch. Maybe, hopefully, he/she is 2-3 wks younger than the girls.

Are those your BO pics that I looked at? They are beautiful. I have 13-13 wk pullets and hopefully Caesar is a roo, I just want one roo.

It looks like a pullet to me, but it is a little hard to tell as I can't see the back/ rear of the bird as well as I would like. Regardless if I had to vote right now I'd say pullet.

Post a full body picture in a couple of weeks and we can say for certain. It's true that one of my Buff Orp girls has a comb twice as big as the other one, so Jody and Matt could sure be right about it being a pullet.

The birds I directed you to in that post were someone elses. I do have some of mine posted in the thread as well, but they are older and probably won't help much.

If you are incorrect on the age of yours, and it is several weeks younger, I would say it is a boy. Do you not know the exact age of the birds? Without the exact age, it makes it more difficult to determine gender.

Well, the man we bought them from said they were 11 weeks, so now they are 13wks. He gets the overruns from Ideal. He has a fantastic operation, very clean and licensed if that matters. Maybe this one is a month younger. I went out today and picked him up to take a good look at him. At what age do they get spurs? I thought I saw little knots.

Boys and girls get the little bump and some girls even get spurs, so that wouldn't make a difference in sexing. Typically boys get the bigger spurs around 5-6 months tho. I am thinking the guy threw a younger one in the batch. Any way you can get a better pic? Close up of the face, neck area and rump? I know I'm asking a lot and chickens don't cooperate. LOL But it would help.

Someone told me that a boy will have greeenish tail feathers is that true? I have 8 chicks 5 weeks old and 4 of them have green tailfeathers beginning. They also do the NFL belly bop (as I call it). When they do that the feathers on the neck stick out like a tazmanian devil. Could they be boys?
