Anyone have a pet skunk?

They do kill chickens and you could get sprayed. I would not get one. But I don't have any experience with them.

they come that way fromm the skunk breeders.

The vet has to do it.. I'm not sure where their scent bags are..

How do you de-sent them?

It is a surgery procedure I believe. You remove the scent glands, just like you do with ferrets.

A pet ferret is more likely to kill your chickens then a skunk, still wouldn't let my pet skunk "play" in the chicken coop.

Um no... I wouldn't let it out of the house! It might get caught in my traps set for wild skunks

I love skunks.when I start trapping season,I always catch spotted skunks in there.They love bacon

They are so darn cute!! I always let the go.Never had problems with them getting the chooks.

Ever since my ferret died I have wanted a skunk.But we have way to many indoor dogs and cats.Maybe one day when I get my own place...

Ours was named Stinky. The still have a smell to them but they do make great house "cats." You are not aloud to have native skunks. If you live where black an white skunks are you can have gray an whites of brown an whites.
