Ducklover- Yours are pet quality Calls or Call mixes. They're not pure Aussie Spots (or maybe not Aussies at all). I went back and looked at the older thread because I remember telling you they look a lot like Australian Spotteds in color, which they do. As I said before though, there are also Spot and Aleutian Calls, which are basically the same color genotype as Australian Spotteds. That is why they look so similar. The body, bill shape, and size is not right for Australian Spotteds. They are just the same color (which is not a bad thing, Spot and Aleutian Calls are harder to come by than Aussie Spots). They certainly could be Australian Spotted mixes as well.
Anyway, in your drake's nuptial plumage he does look a lot like a Snowy. In his down color and juvenile plumage though, it is obvious he is not a Snowy (which is what I think the eggs were sold to you as). In basic terms, there are a couple different genes that lighten plumage- light phase and harlequin phase. Each bird inherits one gene from each parent. A bird that is "Spot" color has inherited one light phase gene from one parent and one harlequin phase gene from the other parent. Your drake is a Green Spot. Your hen is a Blue Spot.
