I found a batch of Buff Plymouth Rocks that I plan on starting tonight when I get home from work. The bator is cleaned from the last hatch and temps are stabilized. Everything is ready to go!

I have one additional comment... Last hatch was my first hatch, no one warned me about bator stink! It took 4 days first hatch to last hatch, and all that muck in there sure did smell by the time I got the last one out!

Im with you!!! I just finished putting in 13 Welsummer and 12 barnyard mixed eggs ( EE, OEGB and a few mystery) into the "Bruce-O-Bator, 5000." This is my first attempt with my home made incubator. Infact, my first hatch ever.

Hi! Me Me Me! I am I am!

Just set 7 Dominique eggs under a broody Frizz girl and will set Turkey eggs under a Jersey Giant hen later toward dark --- all from Nancy (Bargain).

And while I'm at it I might as well fill up the incubator.

I candled the 56 set the 21st and had 8 clears --- mostly from those darn Modern Games and mottled Cochins.

Good luck everyone!

I put 30 pheasant eggs in my bator last night, so hopefully I'll be hatching right behind you. Already had a temp spike because of the outside temps, though, so I might end up with nothing but duds, too.

Good luck to everyone, hope it all goes well for you.

Mariposamoma,

I have three pheasant eggs that were shipped with my barnyard special. Besides the extra days in the bator, are there anything special that I need to do with the pheasant eggs? Will they be ok with the chicks or will they peck at them when they are born?

Thanks,

Bosque
