Anyone have experience with the No-Crow collar for a hen?

As an urban chicken keeper, I woke to a dreaded sound a few days ago. One of our "Hens" seemed to be crowing. After some research, I'm pretty sure she is actually a hen - we don't have a rooster and I read that a dominant hen can start to take on rooster traits, including half crowing. Unfortunately, we're really close to our neighbors and within city limits, so we need to keep her quieter.

My question is, has anybody attempted to use the MyPetChicken No-crow collar on a hen? Her crows are quieter than a rooster's already so I'm not sure if the collar will still be effective. Thanks!

Hello and

I haven't tried a no-crow collar, but see no reason why it shouldn't be fine for a hen. There's no real physiological difference in the necks of male and female chickens.
