spreading fear is worse than any demon? where did you get that 'piece' of wisdom. great avatar dumkoff 'what , me worry" i think franklin roosevelt said what you quoted about fear. his progressive thinking should strike fear in every americans heart.

Then why are you a believer? There is nothing on/off about religion of any kind. Scientist can make a more educated guess about what is contained in the Universe than they can about spirits and the afterlife. I've always been very interested in people that have true absolute faith.

Someone else wrote it in a response a few lines before mine. Yeah I like the avatar too, thanks. Thanks for the source of the fear quote. I knew it came from a truly great American. Just couldn't remember who it was. He went by FDR didn't he? He got us out of the Great Republican Depression didn't he?

Have a great Sunday.

Careful about the "R" word. I'm talking about ouija boards because it seems that some people are afraid of them. I'm merely offering the idea that their fear has no logical base, in an effort to extinguish that fear. If you continue to believe that ouija boards are something to fear, well, that's your right. But realize that you're saying you're afraid of a piece of cardboard and a plastic glider.

its not wisdom its common sense!! spreading fear of demons and hell is just a manmade trick to scare people into your beliefs!! that is the problem nowadays everyone pushes made up fears of demons and hell and the devil!! these are all just mythical figures thought
up to scare(convert) people!!

ignorance is bliss for some i guess!!

this is not aimed at any religion cause they all do this form of scare tactic to some degree.. my religion teaches to accept all religions as right

and progressive thinking, watch out, we wouldn't want our country to move ahead we should just keep doin what we are doin cause our country is in such great shape.. using policies written in the 40's starting wars that are goin nowhere!! indebt to communist countries that we will never be able to pay off

yeah progressive thinking is horrible!!

ignorance is bliss to some i guess, just not me

blessings and much luv

As to the question:
Do they still sell those things?

VERY MUCH SO. Older ones go for hundreds of $$$ (with original wood planchette) and people still create new ones (just check ebay).

I played with one regularly as a teen with my BBF. We had lots of fun. Not so much talking to spirits as asking questions (when will we marry, etc). I can't tell you if it was accurate, because I can't remember anything we asked ~~! I truly don't understand the fear. My mother told fortunes with 'witch cards' and I never feared that either. I am the only one in the family that learned how to use them. Mother's fortune telling always seemed very accurate and folks have told me the same. Oh, and for the record, my mother was a devout Catholic.

My wife has a good friend that lives about 2000 miles away. There have been many times that this woman has asked my wife about something entirely new in her life that there is no way this woman would know about it. I would suspect her of being the devil but she has horns. So I guess that rules her out. Just joking, The friend is for real though. I think some people are just more in touch with the force than other people are.

Any one see the Hellraiser series of movies. Now that was a cool box to open. Someone should market a toy like that for calling spirits. Beyond was really cool too. See without all these funny beliefs out there we would have to stick with "The Sound of Music" and such. I loved that movie by the way.
