Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

Things I learned this week.......
Getting old makes getting better harder.
Nyquil makes me nap.
It also tends to make me silly after 3 days of it.

Thank you for asking. I hope to be back to normal soon.

THIS is why we no longer drink ourselves silly. Last hangover took me 3 days to recoup...... and I'd only had a few glasses of wine!!

Somewhat better. The dang cough is horrid. You know the kind of cough where you cannot take a breath and it feels like your lungs are shredding.

I keep taking the only thing that dries me up but it puts me into sleepy mode. Nyquil is my friend!

Anyone catching this years "cold" is in for some misery.

The soup helps with fluids...... Just don't go coughing while you eat you just might drown!

I had a horrible cough for 8 weeks a few years ago. Had no other symptoms but COULD NOT get rid of this cough. I cracked a rib I had it so long.
In the end I needed a breathing treatment and an inhaler for a few days.

Oh dear God!! If it lasts that long just push me into the hole the chickens dug. :th

Cracking a rib is not something I would wish on anyone. Super painful thing to do!

I'll take the rooster :D
He's a beautiful Swedish Flower. I'm having problems with him not taking no for an answer. I have 2 boys to 11 girls. I know a few more girls would be better for 2 roosters but my other guy minds his manners.
After a rough episode I saw yesterday he got banished to outside the run for the day. It was more peaceful in the run and he's seemed to have learned a little.

Was named at only a few weeks old because I thought he was a boy then. LOL No problems other then the sexual frustration he seems to have.

He's lyin', they never learn!

Oh, on the subject of friendly chickens, while mine don't like being held or touched, they call come running to swarm around me when I yell "Chick, chick, chick, chicky" because that usually means treats. My son (15 months old) thinks it is funny to watch 35-40 chickens come barreling in my direction. He now calls chickens "chick, chick" whether he sees them in real life or pictures of them. I also have a similar call for cats "ki, ki, ki, kitty" so he has taken to calling cats "kiki". Well for a while he was calling dogs "git" we couldn't figure out why. Then I realized it is what we would say to my parents' overly friendly dog when she would try to jump up on him and lick his face. "GIT" Now he calls them "dog, dog" which is more accurate, but less funny.
