Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

Y'all! I'm so sorry! My phone is giving me fits on this site! I guess it's my phone, it never happened when I logged in from a computer. I'm still getting a weird app notice and it kicks me off constantly! (I'll be surprised if I'm able to post this). I've tried to read through and post a few times over the weekend but I keep getting kicked back to a weird app thing.

I've reported it a couple weeks ago, but it's still an issue and has gotten worse.

UPDATES: Still no hen and babies.

And my camera battery died, then my husband commandeered the camera because, alas, hunting season is upon us.

I'll still keep an eye out for her. But I'm thinking if she were back there Mr. Squatch would call to her. Unless he's just over her and her crazy feral ways.

I'm going to try to get caught up on here and on my other recipe thread but I may have to wait till I get back home and get on my dang computer.

I tried to respond here, but being the worlds worst millennial coupled with dealing with some sort of glitch that's kicking me off the site has me posting all over Gods Green BYC site.

I deleted the other post under the wrong thread because it just felt right.

Sorry I'm so delayed updating and catching up!

I checked the cams and still no hen and babies.

The battteries finally died and then DH confiscated the cams for hunting because he is a party pooper.

I am going to still keep an eye out but I'm thinking if she were still there Mr. Squatch would call to her. But he's started a new life with Pigeon so he doesn't seem too concerned. He won't even go near the woodline where I got him from. But I'll still keep watching for her.

Going to try to catch up on here today.

Hope is dwindling, but it is still there. Heck no, Mr Squatch doesn’t want to go to the woodline, he know what it feels like to be king and have food.
I am going to make hiding places and cut small holes so the larger half of the chicks can get away from Sesame if needed. It is awfully windy here all of a sudden, which makes it feel colder than it really is.

This kind of reminds me of when my hamster got out of her cage when I was a kid. She went under the house, I thought she was dead. But then one day I walked into our utility room and there was a little hamster on the floor. Apparently she went in a hole that went under the house and had babies then when they were old enough she brought them back up. We caught all of them, then the mama came out.
Hopefully your mama shows up w/ a flock of babies behind her. Maybe go sit outside and listen for some cheeps.

So, I let the chicks out in the run, for the entire day, all but 2. Of the 2 Cochins, in is still too small and one is actually a Silkie. I don’t know how I didn’t pay closer attention before now. I am suppose to exchange those 2 soon. It is 60 and sunny, but that wind is crazy.

Hubby is going on a hunting trip soon and I am building an additional run while he is gone. He says I have to make do with what I have. Wrong! I wait until he goes on trips and do projects he doesn’t approve of or will butt in. I could probably use a bigger coop, but what I have will have to work. And I think it will be fine because I know I have too many roosters in those chicks. And if I have all hens, wouldn’t I be extra lucky.

Trying to make her stretch her legs a bit.

She's temporarily out of chicken jail, wearing a diaper , and being forced to follow mearound and watch me clean house.
I'm trying to show her that being a mother isn't all that it's cracked up to be!!!!
