Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

The small animal shavings are smaller too. I liked those for in the brooder better then the big stuff. I did buy it at TSC anyway. LOL

I'm making a pilgrimage to my not-so-local TSC today...gonna start switching my layer (I use that term very loosely, lol!) coop girls over to Layena, and I need some shavings and other stuff too! I canot WAIT till they open up our TSC in February!!! God my life is boring these days, lol.

Hahahaha, last time I was at TSC (which may have been my first time) I had to ask the guy in the aisle (quietly, shamefacedly) if he knew where the chicken nipples were. After I said it, I started giggling like crazy, as some other shoppers started laughing too. He showed me where they were, and told me every time somebody asked him about the nipples they did that verbal walk of shame thing that I did, lol!!! It was really, really funny...

Why I order my nipples on Amazon, reason 1:

The two containers on the outside of the pens are my system. They have lids that open, or that i can use the funnel with, you fill, and are big enough to fit my hand in, which is a necessity for assembly. I use the red chicken drinking cups that fill when the chickens move the yellow plug thingy. They are sitting on brackets that are zip tied to the pens, and the containers are secured with a strap near the top. It works really well, but you have to get the drinking cups with the supplies needed to mount to a bucket, which may be difficult to find at tsc. I got mine off Amazon.

I'll try to get some more pics later so you can have a better look. It can be done with any size container as long as it can handle having holes drilled in it, and is big enough for you to get your hand in, and more importantly, out of. The number of drinking cups is up to you, but if they are too close together, it will compromise the integrity of the container.
