Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

Ya'll do know a broody hen with or without chick don't count and them chicks don't count neither.
Iffin them chicks was made by a rooster at your place then he cannot count since they never lay eggs.

Now if any are bantams they don't count either since they tend to be broody AND only lay pigeon sized eggs anyway. One female bantam actually equals a negative 2.

Oh trust me I can make pretty much any flock equal 0 chickens!

Here is the negative bantam crew in their partially complete but secured new run.

They've already started going to their run in the evening.

Mr. Squatch is the first on the roost

Ooo, what is your pretty black one in the forefront? She looks like my girl Chris. When we got Chris, we were told that she was a black leghorns, but she doesn't lay white eggs, shes not as petite as my white leghorns and she's got tones of gold and warm brown on her chest

Roosters -6 as not only are they male they are BANTAM

Females -6 as well as they are bantam and prone to be broody!

Oh wait.... Potential pigeon eggs!! -3 more SOOO that means in this space there is a negative 15 birds!!!!

Lovely space but the void of chickens is creating a vacuum drawing chickens from afar!! The Squatches being bantam were less able to avoid the suction therefore arrived first!!
