Same here I have a bunch of freeloading silkies 21-30 weeks and no one has started laying. My husband was helping put away groceries the other day and asked me why we have spent nearly $1000 on chickens and building a coop and still buying eggs:hmm
We had a boat like that a long time ago, I figure we spent $2000 on a RAMEKIN of shrimp dip.
:he:th

That's why I have a COOP!
:celebrate:love:lau

I'm cracking myself up !

What's wrong with people? To throw a rooster over someone's fence not really knowing what was there.
Years ago we looked at an old creole cottage, it needed TONS of work, but the bones were beautiful. While we were there, off the beaten path, someone drove up and put a box out of their truck. After he left we looked and it was a box full of kittens. We brought them back to New Orleans to the SPCA.

I know, right??? I watched a man get out of his car at dusk on a busy road, hugged the dog, drove off and the dog chased the car. I picked him up and he is fat, happy, flea & tick free at my grandmothers!

I have a long story about the dog I adopted from a friend, of a friend, of a friend, but I will write about that later. It is lengthy.
