Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

My Production Red Hens are Sesame, Sweet n Sour, Kung Pao and General Tao. They live in the Hunan House!
We generally make an attempt to name our chickens after food. Though I find it hard to name the hens after food. Our first rooster was General Tso. He was naughty and we had to send him to freezer camp. He was a Dominique/RIR. Gorgeous monster.

So pretty!

We've only got Chicken Nugget (buff orp) and her baby, Nibblet.

The rest are generic chicken names... Goldie, Karen, Poppy, Pigeon, Blackie, oh, there's a Big Ang, and so many more.

I've got a bunch of Noobs we haven't named yet.

I'm thinking of naming the Faverolles after bearded wrestlers because it just seems right.

My grandpa lived in Hueytown Alabama and they had these little blackish scorpions there, too.

We had to check the shoes, bed clothes, and regular clothes before using them.

I only saw one and I don't think they were deadly.

He would tell us stories of the Hueytown Hum which was supposedly the sound of air blowing through the mines that were dug years back. I never heard it, though :/

The only time I see a scorpion is when we camp. I usually see them under the tents.

I am around the corner from NASA and Redstone Aresenal. We hear explosions all the time, helicopter training, all kinds of fun stuff.

There are still a few operating mines, but not like it used to be.

I love the pictures! I had to go get a few supplies at TSC and breakfast with my sister in law. Oh, and a WalMart trip! Since a couple of the chicks are on the smaller size and always wanting to bury under the other girls, I bought a feather duster to hang. I have been busy dividing the brooder area and finding the right size sticks.
I have not touched the house yet and my son has flag football practice this evening. But first, Young and the Restless!
