Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

While at TSC I noticed they have Christmas cards out with farm, horse, etc themes, but no chicken themes. I see there are Chicken Christmas cards for sale out there, but I was thinking of making some this year.

We went to a festival last weekend and my daughter got a cute little pot holder w/ a chicken on it. Naturally we can't use it. It's hanging on the wall in her bedroom now.

This is a simple quick recipe but still from scratch. Sauce is done and cooling, going to make tortillas now.

I've had the opposite where I almost lost my mom several times in the last couple years. She's become severely delusional & manic depressive, & we can't always tell what is an accident & what is a suicide attempt. But either way, she's ended up in the ICU almost dead more than once. And she fights everything we all try to do to help her.

The chickens and my dog have been a source of therapy for me - just a daily reminder to take things moment by moment & not be paralyzed by the what ifs. Animals are wonderful that way!
