Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

Speaking for pictures! Look at me! Look at me! Look at me!

I did these while sitting with my chicks the other day. My Silkies from day 1 to 5 1/2 weeks.

Lemondrop is turning out to be a big bully and is currently sitting in timeout for bad behavior.View attachment 1173103

Buttercup will be a great mom, if it is a she. She is buddies with Lemondrop, but leaves the big girls to nurture and cuddle the smaller ones.

Crybaby is still small, but the limp on her right leg seems to be gone. And she no longer cries all the time. (Sweet Diana cuddling. RIP)View attachment 1173114

Hoppy just blends in with the crowd.

Smokey. Hangs out with the smaller chicks and larger chicks. Loyality is divided.

You took a lot of nice photos! It is difficult, chicks move so fast. Silkies galore!

I have really enjoyed this thread and it is just what I needed!
I have been a long time Facebooker, and I have become so tired of feeds being clogged with shared articles. I am tired of seeing 10 pictures of your kids every single day. And I am really tired of seeing your selfies and your perfect life you portray. Over it. I like to keep it real, I am over the fakeness.
Since getting new chicks and being drawn back to BYC, I am thankful to make some connections on here.
Anyway, stepping off my high horse now. ;)

Cold and windy here today, the leaves are finally showing come color. Feels more like winter than fall though. I feel like we always skip over fall and soring. We are so cheated out of mild days.
:goodpost:
Also Sassy, those chick pictures are amazing! Your little fluffers are so adorable!!! And growing up so fast!

I'm not looking forward to the snow. The Ohio weather has been so crazy up and down I'm not sure what winter will bring. Could be mild or it could be horrible.

We had to start the furnace today. Coal...what a mess.

What does a mild winter in Ohio look like?

They feel like my children growing up. I am trying to enjoy them, but that planning part of me needs to know what they are!!!

The small grey and white Cochin is asserting and determing her pecking order today. To come in on the bottom the other day, that little go getter in moving up quickly.
All tuckered out. It is a hard job trying to be big.
