Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

:woot We could make the southern circuit!!! Tennessee, Alabama.....need some more in the South needing coop helpers!!!
That's too far for me.. but wouldn't that be an awesome service? Like expert coop builders? Kinda like Habitat for humanity, but for chickens.

If they ever make a "chicken people 2" documentary, I'm sending them your name!
I tried watching that show and it was kind of sad. I didn't get through it all. I guess I like my chickening to be a little more personal than 10k chickens bred in pursuit of the 'perfect' specimen. I like to think that the people who were on that show were the extreme end of the chicken people spectrum.

I have been staying up at night thinking about this run I am about to build. I will need all week to finish it doing it by myself! Today is out, 3 days are cut in half. I have to get this done before dh gets home! Being a 1 woman show, I am starting to panic a little.
Good planning will go a long way. Do you already know what you're going to do? Have all the supplies ready so you don't have to run out to get stuff 1/2 way in (which is how I do it and doesn't work well at all)?

Chicken talk is it's own birth control. :lau There should be a chicken people dating site. "Meet local crazy chicken people"
A girl I went to school w/ met her husband on a farmers dating site. They really seem to have a lot in common, so I guess it works. Probably a lot better than other sites where it's kinda obvious what they're lookin' for.

Well POO!! I just read Hubby's list of stuff he would like to see done today........
He wants me to finish the trim work on the door ways in the kitchen and living room.

Not much left but some caulking and paint.

That will learn me dern me. Darned oops paint in pale green started a whole house make over.
Cannot beat 5 gallons for 30 bucks though.

Got me replacing all the trim inside and doing craftsman doorways like this but a little different.

Hubby is a slam it together and a little off is OK with him. I am a perfectionist so I do the construction now.

Grinder! I saw that too!!! I know what I am doing and have done a list (somewhere), but going to redo it. The run is only 22x4x6. Hubby has a shop now and ALL the tools have moved out of the garage, which was convenient!
Step 1: Run
Step 2: Feed Box
Step 3: made folding doors, so i can attach the 2 runs or be able to keep separate

Got to run. Field trip. Be back soon

OK my Squatch Frands.... what should I do? I posted about the 6 ladies being housed outside of the mulch place and asked about quarantine and have been basically told to NOT DO IT.

What say you all?

Edit to Add: They say to not get the girls at all..... just in case you don't feel like reading my tiny, little thread. ;)

As far as the OT/thread hijacking thing. I've had threads where I was asking questions and other people (usually a newbie) came on and asked a similar but not really the same question and I've advised them to start their own thread so mine doesn't get cluttered with answers for them. I don't get mean about it, but just say "Hey, could you start your own thread to get answers? It isn't really related to my situation."
