Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

My thoughts Exactly!

I'm lucky. We have ordinances based on lot size, but generally 3 hens, no roosters.
BUT no one in my neighborhood gives a flying fig! We definitely have at least 2 people with roosters, one pet pig and a woman who drives her miniature horse-drawn mini carriage around.

I knew, as soon as we could get to an area and buy a home for retirement, that I had to have a bit of acreage.... AND it had to be on the *outskirts* of town... no HOA, no regs or ordinances about my homestead animals or home schooling my PIC..... the less ya in my bidniss, the better!

Wow Smuvers...... that's really perky. How much coffee and have you had! And good morning!
Hahaha!

We live in the country. We are in the city limits, but not the city. My neighbors have cows. It is always funny when they escape and we see cows in our yard. I know there have been 2 people in the city (we by no means are a true city) that had to rehome their potty-trained pet pigs (BIG pigs). Unless someone complained, who would know (if they had a privacy fence)?? My friend in the “city” had hens, but I don’t know the ordinance.

**there was really no point to my ramblings**

That's ok. We thrive on pointless ramblings around here

We once woke up in the middle of the night to a soft voice singing " Dancing Queen" . There was a drunk lady laying in our backyard. Yes I said a drunk lady....you can't make this s**t up. We have no idea who she was or how she got there. Our yard is surrounded by 6 foot privacy fence with gates that lock on the inside. My DH went outside and opened the gate and yelled " hey lady" ( think Jerry Lewis) and she eventually wondered out.

Talk about pointless ramblings!
