Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

You know...... I think it is a Lowes thing. I refuse to shop there because that is how it is EVERY blinking time.

Gotta watch out in the garden area too. :he
I went to get several plants of the variety they had on sale. I was only getting the ONE kind of plant. I got them off the table that had a hundred on it and several signs with the sale price. Imagine my shock at the register when what should have been 40 bucks was well over 100.
The clerk at the register was not authorized to fix any of it...... An hour later still arguing with the customer service desk I got a little loud about false advertising..... They finally refunded the difference.

Sorry bout the rant but they really tick me off.:barnie

We once woke up in the middle of the night to a soft voice singing " Dancing Queen" . There was a drunk lady laying in our backyard. Yes I said a drunk lady....you can't make this s**t up. We have no idea who she was or how she got there. Our yard is surrounded by 6 foot privacy fence with gates that lock on the inside. My DH went outside and opened the gate and yelled " hey lady" ( think Jerry Lewis) and she eventually wondered out.

Talk about pointless ramblings!
That is so, so funny!

I would have been the same way. I like Lowe’s better, but I think customer service is better at Home Depot.

Last time I went to Home Depot and bought a bunch of lumber, I asked the guy if he thought we could strap it to the roof of my Kia. Hahahaha!! I had a truck and trailer.

I found "Chicken People" weirdly fascinating. It IS the extreme of people who do just that, in the pursuit of perfection. I get showing and competition and stuff and while that's fine if that's what floats your boat that's fine, it's just not for me. Im perfectly happy with my little gang and all their imperfections. I love them for who they are.
Plus there's no way I could cull in those numbers just because they weren't exactly perfect.
Besides, not everyone gets to sit on their porch swing having a glass of wine before dinner with a batch of spoiled, tame perfectly imperfect chickens just patiently waiting in line for a turn at sitting on your lap.
Am I right?

I actually thought Chicken People was a mockumentary. Didn't realize it was real until the end.
Yeah I love my girls as is with all their quirky character! :love

I loaded all the wood by myself into my cart, and little irritated that a worker that passed by me TWICE didn’t offer to help. A stranger asked if he could help me load it on my trailer. Very kind, but an EMPLOYEE didn’t offer to help!!! YES, I could have found someone if I really needed help. I am just sayin. And pressure treated wood is heavy. Dang! 8- 16” and 9- 12” 2X4’s.

I blame women for this. Feminist movement. Men and women are equal in value, but our differences should be celebrated. Women need to give men their pen!s’s and their BALLS back, because is blocking the entrance to the Vajay-jay’s! Ain’t nobody winning! I am seeing a bunch of immaculated men and that sure ain’t attractive!
Sassysouth, sound off!
That's just a bad customer service & clueless self-absorbed people thing.
Feminism is what lets us women have our own money & a truck so we go get lumber without asking permission from our husband or father.
If I was there, I'd totally ask you if you wanted help!

That's amazing!!! I want a bird brain!
Chickens are very smart. When I was a kid, there was a piano playing chicken at Knott's Berry Farm. You put a quarter in and some corn would go into the hopper, the white leghorn would play "old McDonald Had a Farm on a toy piano by pecking the keys. Then the corn would come out, & she would beak it up fast! It was great, they rotated the chickens so that they would not get full.

Ok my friends....I think my D'uccle is egg bound. She has been standing in her nest box on and off all morning and when I had them out to free range this morning she wasn't herself. She was standing around a lot. She is usually very busy. She is approximately 1 year old. She has been laying about 5 days a week but has slowed up recently. I'm assuming due to shorter days. Her comb is nice and red and she is eating.
