Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

You don't get to read books anymore... this thread... WE ARE YOUR LIBRARY NOW!!!

But....like...reading is fundamental, yo!

I devoured two novels in the time I wasn't on BYC. And got a massage. AND went to yoga.

NJEA teachers convention (Thursday and Friday off, nobody goes to it. Or they take a 4 day weekend and go to Florida. Next year!) = Cindi's spa days. Glorious, glorious. Ate 3 of my own eggs. Binge watched Stranger Things and 90 Day Fiance. Cuddled my chooks.

Can I get a HELLZ YEAH! :)

You mean your chicken food? That is pure, sheer genius. Do they gobble it up?

I made oatmeal for mine the other day and they loved it. As I brought it out, I thought: This is it. I really am a Crazy Chicken Lady. I mean, I barely cook for my husband or myself, and I am making oatmeal for my chickens?!!
Oh yeah they love it! X 2 what @staceyj said.

They love the oatmeal too!

Nope. I call BS. Unless the 2 books you *read* were picture books, NO WAY you did all that in 24 hours... (crack binge perhaps?!?) :lau :lau

Looking much better.
@pitbullmomma What do you think?
Also, any general wormer I can get otc for a cat? I don't see any but she eats like a horse and has stinky farts... she also decided quarantine wasn't for her and moved herself upstairs.

I can answer the wormer situation... no general wormer will work... cats normally have 1 of 2 different worms... and the OTC ones I've tried didn't work. USUALLY, if you can figure out which worms there are, your vet can just sell you the medication without having to take the cat in for a check up.

I feed fermented feed, which is soaked feed for a day or so... 30 birds didn't finish 2 qts of water yesterday.. helps a lot eating wet feed when it is freezing out... I do not worry too much about keeping liquid water. I took a bowl out a couple hours after I fed and only one girl came and got a drink.. I changed it about 4 hrs later and less than a qt was gone... they came over to see what was in the new bowl but no one drank right away.
not every one is a fan of fermented feed , but it works for me

We FF as well... the only time we seem to have to mess with their water buckets is to clean them out from leaves/dirt/debris once a week. Never have to refill them throughout the week. They have 2, 5 gallon drinking stations and never run out of water, even though we only fill the buckets half way.

Yeah girl! Healing nicely. :)

Don't pick that scab!

Honestly, I never recommended or looked at OTC dewormers when I was vetting cuz I used the Rx kind based on a fecal...but if you think tapes then praziquantel, if you think rounds there's something called Excel...course being a vet Imma tell you give your vet a fecal sample and let him/her tell you what (and if) you need. !
