Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

Pass me the brown butter frosting recipe. I found some brown butter dark chocolate a few weeks ago. It was good, but different.

2 sticks of butter in a heavy sauce pan over med heat. Stir constantly til it turns a deep golden color. Almost brown but not quite. Immediately pour into a small bowl, cover and chill for 1 hour. Then put into a large bowl and mix with one 16 ounce bag of powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla and enough milk for desired consistency. It is delicious.... can't compare the taste to anything else. Soooooo good

I went to let the chicks out this morning only to realize 2 must have been hiding last night and got left out. Good thing they were larger and had each other.

We drink a gallon of DECAF sweet tea a DAY here in the spring and summer... I'm lucky that we like stevia..... it works very well in our house....

I need to get a plain, unscented candle or ball of wax cause we don't have anything like that. Previously, I cracked one of Xenas eggs before putting it under her and we used kiddos 8th birthday candle to seal it... so that wax was blue and had glitter in it. The egg made it all the way to day 21 and then quit... so, having higher hopes for this egg... and we have named it Crackpot.

I love grits! I have only ever lived here in Colorado. Hubby is from southern Mississippi and cannot stand grits.

Any suggestions on the best way to do it?

*The windowsill approach might not work because of Guilty Party.
He lives to knock all things off horizontal surfaces.

Can you lay them on a cookie sheet or in a cake pan to keep him from helping make tomato sauce?
Counter top usually works to me but I don't have help mushing them.
Maybe in a pan then on top of the fridge? Just don't forget they are there.

I LOVE grits, but they have to be cooked in milk and have a WHOLE LOT of butter and salt.

None of this cooked in water lunacy. Same goes for oatmeal and hot chocolate. Proper oatmeal and hot chocolate should NEVER be made with water.

Birthday candle??

Candle in the shape of a number 8, that was blue and glittery. We lit it and let the wax drip on to the cracked lines.
