Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

I make DW a tea to settle her tummy from time to time... Local (next year to be replaced with my) honey, Rosemary oil a couple three drops, Orange oil 1-2 drops and the bottom end of the dropper with peppermint oil, with lavender camamele (sp) tea.

Regarding the labor discussion, this old husband knows enough to never engage in such conversations...
That sounds heavenly.
You actually managed to get all my favorite flavors and aromas into one cup.

So... hubby made a comment that he doesn’t want to be tied down to the house with a bunch of animals and likes being able to get away, which is why we don’t have horses.
I mean, 13 chickens. I wanted to chime in and say so, how do you feel about 23 chickens??? Which is what the number will be after tomorrow
He will start working from home sometime next year. I told him maybe he will learn to bond with chickens.
He has seen the chickens. I guess because they are bantams, it doesn’t look like 17.
Bantams are a minus number of chickens, I have learned. Since parrots are smaller than bantams, they are double minus chicken points. I think you need a horse to make up for all those minus chicken points. Just chicken beginning math, so I am learning here . . .

This is how a guy lives to be old . . .

Goodness that sounds nice! @rjohns39 is there anything you DON'T have a recipe for? :bow
I bet all those hawks left your birds alone because they had heard about your legendary cooking skills and were afraid you would make them into a delicious Hawk Stew!

Hahahaha! Hubby also said he may go out and sit with me in run, who knows what will come????

This is sweet Mable. She stays at my feet when I sit with the chicks. I went out to close the chicks up before dark and 1 Silkie, Lil’ Bit, didn’t make it into the coop. He was sitting under the ramp crying. I could tell that sweet baby was getting cold right before the sun was setting too. I warmed him up, then held him close to the heat lamp and made him a place under the lamp to finish warming up. Sweet Mable came over to cuddle and comfort Lil’ Bit. She is absolutely precious!!! I love her so much.

I was saving this new emoji for some thing special and YOU, my dear just RANG THE BELL! :gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig

I don't know what happened to my husband but to say it was chicken magic but it turns out that he LOVES these birds.
If I say I'm going outside to do something that has to do with them he screams, "WAIT FOR MEEEEE!!!" :wee

Like the Popsicle man is coming down the street or something!
