Anyone heard of the italian pointer? (Aka bracco italiano)

Has anyone heard of the bracco italiano? I want to know if it's really a cross between a german shorthair pointer and a bloodhound? They are so cool!!

They are native to Italy and date back to to the 4th or 5th century B.C. They are a pure breed of Hunting Dog.
