Anyone impatiently waiting for your baby chicks to arrive?!?!

BSL are the product of a RIR roo bred to a barred rock hen....and if you breed BSL together they are not auto sexing....it has to be RIR to BR to get BSL that are auto sexing
Actually any non barred, non white male over a barred female will result in black sex linked offspring. The hen will pass on the barring gene to male offspring and nothing to pullet offspring. As a result cockerel chicks will have a head spot and be barred, pullet chicks will not.

No Doubt!!....lol....though there is a while to wait for them to get here....6/8/16.....should be 8 hens and 1 roo from Cackle coming....along with 6 Khaki Campbell hens and 1 drake....and 6 rouen hens and 1 drake....trying to get enough space ready for them in the meantime.....the old henhouse is now a goat pen...LOL

Mine are supposed to ship the week of 5/22. Only one more month of waiting. Never again will I order chicks in February to ship in May!!!

5 bantam Cochin Buff Orpintons and 10 bourbon reds

Should be getting a call from the post office sometime today.

I am planing on selling most of the toms in the fall and then in the spring have the bantams hatch out bourbon red pouts from the remaining turkeys.

We'll see how everything goes.
