My chicks are coming from Meyer today! They are actually in my state already. Fingers crossed that all 4 arrive healthy.

I ordered 4 girls:
1 Golden Laced Wyandote
2 Mystery Rare Breed
1 Meyer Meal Maker

My first batch from Meyer are a year and half old now and doing really well. I can't wait to increase my flock size!!!!

Cheers!

My chicks from Meyers have arrived and all are healthy! Now I just need to identify which breeds they are. Any ideas?

I saw them at the small animal sale and do not like them.
5 - Iowa Blues
5 - Speackled Sussex-back ups (got 6 eggs (1 broke) from Ebay ,huge air cells so I don't give them much hope)

I picked ASAP so I do not know when I will get them. The wait is going to make me

Called and confirmed with Ideal, my babies ship tomorrow and they are ALL in my order!!!!
12 Black Austrolorpes (pullets)
13 Buff Orpington (12 pullets and 1 roo)
37 Ameruacana (Easter Eggers) (36 pullets and 1 roo)
25 Red Broiler
12 Buff Brahma
14 Partridge Rock (13 pullets and 1 roo)
11 White Rock
and 6 Broad Breasted Bronze Turkeys (SR)

I'm excited!!!! We have 31 head left in our old flock, and most aren't laying anymore. So they are going to be culled, a couple who are awesome broody girls will get to live out in peace. Sadly a few of our older hens are mean as the devil. Our neighbor who has some serious health issues is on a feeding tube and can only tolerate broth will get the hens we cull, plenty of broth for him.
Is it Thurs yet????????

We picked up our fluffy butts at 3:30 today. So glad they are finally here, all seem to be doing well! Two RIR, two barred rocks, two EE, two Gold Laced Wyandottes, 5 rare breed assortment. We think we have identified two of the rare breed as an Ancona, and one is either a Cochin or Brahma.
