Anyone in GA/TN/NC Area Feel That Earthquake Awhile Ago?

Nothing here in Durham, NC. I've been on the 2nd floor of a 4 story, mostly glass building so if there was a tremor, the beakers here in the lab would have rattled.

Nothing here; although I understand the Cape Fear riverbed is actually a fault line, so such a thing is certainly possible here. We frequently experience a phenomenon known as the "Seneca Guns;" a rumbling or booming that seems to come from somewhere offshore (even in clear weather).

Nothing down here with me..... but I'm kinda dense. It's very possible I could've just thought I had a caffeine headrush

A lot of people don't know we have fault lines. I've never felt one, but I'm glad! Can you call your local weather center and check? idk....

Cyn there is no possible way you would feel a 2.6 from Alaska. You may think you had a touch of vertigo that lasted 2 seconds if one that small was right under your own feet. I do understand people that don't live in earthquake country getting freaked out by them though. I would be a basket case if I saw a tornado.

I think the US is riddled with fault lines that us non-geological types even know about. 4.5 is a good foot massage. Anything higher, somethings gonna break.
