I am excited. I ordered and just received the new chicken nipples. This kind goes on the side of a bucket or container. It's along the same like as the ones that you can screw into the bottom of buckets but this goes on the side. I will post some pictures when I get it all set up. This weekend I will be working on the new roosts for the chickens. I am looking at different ways to make laying boxes. I can't figure out why the older chicken that I got not to long ago quit laying eggs. I mean I have upped the protein, make sure there is plenty of water, the feed is the same. When they got here for the first 2 week they laid but haven't since then. I have had them over a month. I even go and check a few times a day to see if there are eggs but nothing.. free loaders... So I will continue along until they provide.

Allot of chickens stop laying cause of the heat right now. They could also be molting. Mine have slowed way down!

It could be the heat. They aren't molting yet. I hope we get some eggs soon.

I have some males. Mostly bantams -- OEGB's, chocolate orpington/cochin mixes. And a pair of lavender orpingtons, right around 6 weeks old I think.

That's quite a few. I was looking for a little pullet companion for my single hatched egg. Don't have any good hens yet to take it under their wing.

Wouldn't matter. Just looking for a brooder buddy. In fact, I don't even know the breed of this chick because I wasn't sent what I paid for.

It'll be a week or so but I'll have bantam Cochin chicks hatching
