That is a great idea! Our property has very little flat surface and i imagined that i can build such a Hugelkultur on a slope too! Btw: The German word "Hügel" means hill, so it is »hill-culture«

When you move, are you still planning to stay in WV nearby? We moved up here from Kanawha county about 6 years ago.

There is a farm nearby the you can join and get fresh straight from the cow milk and eggs also purchase meat from. I had thought about joining but decided I really just wanted eggs and chickens for myself. We don’t drink milk so here I am lol
