Hi! This is my first post here. :) I recently just got this bulb:

http://www.amazon.com/Philips-41583...rue&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I cannot find any verified answers on whether or not this has teflon. If you wanted to know it says "ideal for heating bathrooms and animal habitats" and the non-red part of the bulb almost has a mirror-like coating. Theres also an answered question on amazon that someone asked on whether or not there is teflon, and one person said they called the company and it did not, but I'm still wary of this.
Thanks for reading, I'm just very paranoid as I will be getting chicks in a few weeks. :)

It doesn't appear to have it in it. It's usually in shatter resistant bulbs. I personally don't use a 250 watt I find them too hot. I prefer a 125 watt or less.

I've been hearing about it being too hot on other threads so I will replace it. Thank you!
