So we get our first batch of chicks on Thursday, and i think I have everything ready. However, we both work outside the home, so I am looking for a way to monitor temp remotely, over the internet. I have come across the following:

    http://www.amazon.com/Ambient-Weath...rue&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=A2ANVX7C75D1I

Ambient Weather WS-0800-IP Observer Base Wireless Internet Remote Monitoring Weather Station

With two sensors i figure i can mount one in the brooder box and the other in the coop. This way i can check on them during the day. I also have an internet camera that i am setting up so I can take a look periodically during the day.

    Anyone else gone about this?

Don't worry about "Anyone else". Do what makes you comfortable. NUTS-I rather think that most of the world would consider all of us "nuts".

What is the downside of being nuts?

As long as there isn't someone coming at you with a straight jacket, there is no downside. [IMG][IMG][IMG]
