Nice!!! All the wooden spheres around the earth are longitude. I have to wonder if the two independent gold orbiting objects are the moon and the sun, but it is curious that they appear to be approximately the same size. The astrological signs on the metal bands are intriguing. Does the globe have the counties marked? If so I would look at some of the names of the Middle East countries and compare it to their present day name. You might be able to date the globe by doing this.
