I have a 6 month old coturnix quail, she is in a cage with one male.

She's been acting weird the past couple of days, just sitting in the corner, sleeping all day, like she's sick. She doesn't even really move around to much.

She is eating and drinking, I gave her some boiled egg today. but I'm getting really worried.

She laid a brown egg the other day (if that makes any difference) but she seemed like she was sick that day and she still is acting weird.

Anyone know what it could be or anything I could do to help

ALSO*** I left their cage outside in 65 (maybe a little warmer) weather. (she's inside right now) Could that have done it? does the cold really affect them?

HELP PLEASE, I'm afraid i'm going to wake up one morning and find her dead. [IMG]

sorry she is not well, but I have no clue as to what it might be. But it is def. not the cold--mine survive fine in the dead of winter, when it is in the negative digits.

Broody? You may want to post this int he quail section - the experts answer fairly quickly. I had that problem - I was todl either broody or an aggressor

    She was broody

It's rare, but it can happen

Mine were in the chicken coop last winter in less than zero weather, they're fine, so I doubt it is the weather
As longas there are no drafts, they willbe fine
