Anyone Manage Leg Deformity Long-Term?

She really only uses the one leg. I haven't splinted because I'm not sure how it would help. I would think it would hurt, actually. Her foot is turning inward. And we tried a sling, but THAT was a disaster. She just panicked!
I thought the same thing, I'd imagine not being able to move it would hurt. That is understandable, my hens hated a sling, freaked out when I put them in it.
Darn, poor girlie. It just makes you wish you could cut it off. Thats not an option either though.
@pipdzipdnreadytogo, any suggestions?

I will probably take her to have it amputated when she's older if she can't manage better than she is now. She's still growing, though, so who knows?

She's obviously eating, drinking, and looks happy. Honestly, I wouldn't be to concerned for the time being, she might just be getting used to it. As long as she can do that, I wouldn't be too worried. :)

To answer your color question, it’s hard to tell in the lighting. Do you have some in natural lighting? :)
All I have is this one. I can get closer ones in the morning.

Hmmm she sort of looks chocolate colored based on the picture. Am I seeing that right? More brownish hues?
Kind of a mix of brown and gray/blue. Her face is def brown, but her plumage has a lot of both.

Chocolate would make sense, actually, esp of she gets darker as she feathers out.

Thanks!
