Anyone mix your own Coturnix food?

They stay perfectly healthy on this.

THAT MAY BE SO.... BUT ITS STILL DECREASING THEIR PROTIEN INTAKE

Why is this decreasing their protein intake? I feed gamebird crumbles at 28% protein. If they eat scratch with it, it doesn't delete the protein they have already eaten.

OK LETS SEE... THEY CAN ONLY CONSUME SO MUCH, IF THAT SO MUCH IS 28-30% PROTIEN THEN THEY ARE GETTING THE MAX... IF THAT SO MUCH IS 1/2 30% PROTIEN AND 1/2 12% PROTIEN THEN THAT SO MUCH JUST DROPPED GREATLY IN PROTIEN. ITS A SIMPLE SPACE PROBLEM. MULTIPLY THAT BY THE FACT MOST BIRDS WILL HAVE A FAVORITE GRAIN OR GRAINS THEY LIKE... IF THEY SEE IT THEY WILL GORGE ON THEIR FAVORITE 1ST, THEN EAT WHATS LEFT. OFFER A 10 YR OLD A TASTY CAKE OR A STICK OF CELERY AND SEE WHICH 1 THEY GRAB 1ST...

Thanks JMR for letting me "piggyback" on your orders. I took 300lb barrel 3 weeks ago and could not be happier with quality, freshness and appeal of the feed. My birds including quail, chukars, chickens and ducks do not complain either! I plan to get 600 lb next time so I do not have to make long trip every month.

Why feed birds low protein, overpriced, often stale and moth infected bagged feed, when you can get this super feed for less?

I drive 50 miles one way to get it and it is worth it for me and my birds.
