From what you have described, I myself, think that the other chick you had put with them was picking on Omlet during the night, or at times you didn't see. I had a young roo that was acting strangely---sitting in the same spot all day long by himself and sleeping, not wanting to go in the coop at night. I thought maybe he didn't feel well, but just kept watching him for any other signs of illness. After about 3 days of this, I had gone out to put the chickens up for the night, and found him dead just inside the door of the goat barn. I believe that the oldest rooster I have actually "bullied" him to death. I think he was getting picked on at night after I put them all in the coop----that's why he sat and slept all day long. No other chickens exhibited this behavior or got sick. So, hopefully that is the main problem your chick is having at this time, and she will get better quickly now that the older chick is back in the other pen.

Well my little chick is still alive today. I really don;t know what to do. The Roo cream Legbar isn;t good either.
He was sneezing when I brought them in and now has watery mustard colour poo. So does the Pullet but yesterday that seemed better? Poo is a bit smelly.

She is just falling over all the time. First I thought she got injured but now I am thinking must be Cocci but I don;t know how to treat it as all your stuff mentioned we can;t seem to get here. I don;t know UK equivalant and there are loads of restrictions on what you cen buy over the counter.

So far I have been giving infant vitamins / sugar water - sometimes through a dropper but mostly she has drank herself. Egg but not yogurt yet have to go to the store today and get some. She is eating normal Poultry grain ok. Today she seems weaker though and some of her wing feathers fell out?

Oesdog - Any ideas ??????????????? I don;t think I can keep her alive much longer? It will sooo upset me because weve tried so hard with her for months. I will never ever use an incubator again - only broody hens Her chicks are well healthy and miles ahead of Blue and Omlet.

It is hard to get that stuff here Justbugged we can;t get injectables anyhow there are many restrictions in this part of the world and there is NO way we will spend that much money on her - weve already spent well over £100 and you just can;t keep doing that. In the end a bird has to be viable no matter how much I love her and even I have to come to that conclution. I mean here you can pick up a healthy laying pullet for £5 - and if you want meat 3 oven ready for £10 from the store - sorry but the Math really don;t add up unless I have a farmyard full of chickens that were sick.

So instead I am doing a mummy thing. - What would I do if she were a child - flush it out with water , keep her hydrated and make her eat ANYTHING!
So here I am feeding her Rice pudding again like I did when she was a baby. - I am force feeding Sugar water and Infant vits every hour. If she is laying down I am bruttle with her and tell her to get up! I pull her up and out of the pen and start hand feeding and piling the fluids into her. tomorrow I will attempt to get a cheep over the counter Cocci treatment. - Wish I could get some of the stuff available to you guys but its not the same here especially after the avian flu etc. I am cruel to be kind Got her up and out of the box and put her out on the grass for 5 mins today - to remind her what she will miss if she gives up!!!!!!!!!!!! I just keep telling her get up don;t give up sweetie!

What else can I do. I change the water and the lining of the brood box ever hour so poo doesn;t get into everything. Blue is dropping too so I am treating him the same. Rice, because they eat it and its sweet and gives energy! / Yogurt to help the tummy and egg for protine. Vitamins and sweet water to keep Hydrated and fight the infection. Ahhhhhhhhhh Have I missed anything? They are also given bread soaked in vit water and yogurt and poultry grain mixed into the rice. I just will use less and less rice as they eat more. Can you beat cocci without meds - I don;t know but sure am going to try!!!!!!!!

Oesdog - I love my birds - why can;t they be ok!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
If anyone has anymore idea please feal free to help out!
