I get you Deb, I just wish one of us at this house at least remotely handy. It would be nice not to have to pay for every "honey do" that needs done. Neither of us has the skills or interest to be good at this. I'm slightly better at somethings than dh, but he gets to fix the toilets.
I have to call the sprinkler guy because we both tried and failed to fix that. We also managed to put the run fence on one of the sprinkler heads....oops! It would also be nice if one of us had less tolerance for dirt.
At our house, we trade off on bill paying and handling the money because we both figure that we need to know where it goes, what we spend and how to take care of things. I do most of the house work and cooking, but I've chosen that by being a stay at home mom. I also volunteer a great deal at my kid's schools. I also do the gardening, but he gets to rake and bag leaves in the back. He gets the backyard, the big yard, because of a perennial problem with poison ivy. DS was going to do the yard, to earn some extra money, but he has the same poison ivy issue as I do. He does scouts with the boys, and I ferry them to other activities. We both have our own hobbies, and do things with friends, both together and apart. I could not imagine life if he made all the descisions and choices.
pardon my spelling, I'm too lazy to look things up. When they were handing out spelling skills I got in the wrong line.
