I wish the sun was out already so I could mellow in my garden. In fact, I think I'll go snail hunting right now, maybe pat a sleeping goose on my way there. It's very hard to imagine there is evil in the world when you've got pets and a garden. Even the snails are adorable . . . I've never been able to bring myself to kill them. They just look so slimeyly innocent as they meander about in my lettuce. I'll bet if I'm wrong and there is a heaven, the road to it is covered in snail slime.

Oh my !! I am in complete and utter shock !! I had never heard of these "Chick tracts" before. I thought I knew what disgusting meant....obviously I had no clue until I read these tracts. I am at a complete loss to understand this. This man is definitely mentally ill. The one about "Lisa" absolutely turned my stomach. The message he puts out that sexually abusing a child is A-Okay now since he "accepted Jesus as his personal savior" is just sick, sick, sick. Talking about an abomination !!! Absolutely despicable. THis man should be locked up in a padded room somewhere. Surely people don't see anything "spiritual" or "loving" or "uplifting" in these message...even if you are a Christian? I am just thankful that I don't belong to a "religion" who thinks the stuff he writes is okay....those that do support him are as sick as he is. Of course, the Catholic Church has covered up the sexual molestation of children for decades....so I don't know why I am so surprised and sickened by one more sicko.

Not to defend Chick at all but I think that he believes that once a person joins his faith that a mystical change will take part in the new believer's heart and he will be unable to sin. So, the man in the tract will stop molesting his daughter because he had a 'real' experience with God. Granted that isn't much better because it is not based on reality but I don't think that Jack Chick is saying that molestation is all right. He is saying that the new believer will change so completely that their crimes should be ignored. That is very dangerous.

I have a big tupperware bucket o' chicks in my living room!! Spent quote a but of time with the dog and the chicks so she'd get the message that this was not a snack bowl!
So, last night she was out for a while and Dh let her in. She did not see me so she wandered over to the chicks and for a critter with no words or much facial expression it is amazing what they can convey!!
She looked into the bin and so all the chicks, shook her head slightly and rolled her eyes!! Like Dang, they're still here and I still can't eat 'em.
Is there anything cuter than a bucket of sleeping baby chicks??
