SHE HERE! Sorry! Its been busy!

My camera just doesnt want to function right now, but I am working on it.

She got in late saturday night, and I went to see her first thing sunday. She's perfect. Absolutely perfect. Iam quite certain she's the exact animal I bought, her upper lip and eyes were a little different from the other foals there that I had seen, and they look the same to me- even compared to her pictures from that visit.

Unfortunately Fhana STILL doesnt have the birth announcement and payment from the breeder, but they did remember me last week when she called asking for the total cost of registering a foal, and the gal in the office made a mental note in case I called. She couldnt remember the exact day, but it as early last week. I know she got the paper from the stallion owners on Tuesday, so MY thought is that she mailed it out on wednesday and its in transit. I will call again later this week and see if its in YET.

I am so fed up with her BS that I dont even want to talk to her ever again. She just emailed me for some reason, and I cant even bring myself to read it.

But Eowyn is here. She's healthy- except for the snots from being shipped (just picked her up some medicine today), she's gorgeous. And sweet. And big. I didnt think a little 3 month old could be so big, especially out of 15.2HH parents. But she's as tall as me when her little baby head is up where a friesian naturally carries it, and i am 5' 7". She has little feathers starting to come in on her legs, which is ALWAYS nice to see when you're breeding for hair- I have a feeling she's going to be pretty fuzzy.

Its so good to have her, even if it is only for a couple months while I wait for the papers so these people can buy her. But they are sweethearts, and they insist I come and see her at any time, and there might be the possibility to buy her back later in her life if they ever decide to have to rehome her. Its a good deal for all of us. She's in LOVE with the husband, just adores him. She adores me too, I think she might actually remember me from my visit- she took right to me over the other people who have been around her- except for the husband.

Just a doll. i will rest when her DNA comes back.

Something else I found really odd... I just went to check the breeders web site- and it no longer exists. I dont know if theyre just redoing it or what, but the URL is bad. Kinda odd...

I want to know what that dreaded breeder wanted to say in her most recent email.

If her website has gone down, she could have missed a payment or after having such a bad year she is taking a "break". Keep an eye out because after having such a poor start in the friesian breeding business she may rename her farm, redo her website, and try for a fresh start. She may very well be in trouble with FHANA, if the stallion owners reported her. Kind of hard to sell high dollar friesians if FHANA is looking into your operation.

Can't wait to see pictures of her. She sounds just like something I would want, not a big fan of tall horses. I love the look of friesians, but I would breed for the 15hh range instead of aiming for 16hh+. I love those that are bred for hair. Like I said, she sounds like that special something I would love to own some day, around 15hh and long flowing hair. LOL
