What can we do to help? I want to start collecting at work or maybe give blood, but how can I know it gets to you guys up there? Red cross would be the way to go I would guess

Thank God you, your family, animals and home are ok...although I'm sure it's hard to deal with the loss of power, it could have been so much worse. I sit here fretting about my chicken's run being muddy, and then I see the news and I'm ashamed of myself. We all just want this to be behind us, and for so many people, it will never truly be over. All of us who came through unhurt have much to be thankful for!All H Broke loose here in NJ. Princess and I, animals, family and house are fine. No power maybe for two weeks. In a motel tonight using her I pad. Somewhat I effectively. NJ is devastated. In my seventy one years, I have never seen such devastation. Much of the NJ Shore is Gone! Will be back online when possible.
Well howdy back at'cha, Neighbor! Good to see another Merry-lander here! You have quite a flock over there...I've got only four (spoiled) girls here...we're flying under the radar! Silly HOA rulesSezjasper, I see you're just over in Carrol County, howdy neighbor!!!! I live in Baltimore County right next to Prettyboy, not to far from you. Sounded like you guys in CC faired out pretty well, glad to hear that.
I hope everyone stays safe. I just watched Rock Center and was all about the hurricane. Some areas hit really really hard. New Jersey and Statin Island. Glad your ok sourland and wife. And anyone else in the area. Katie09 sorry to hear about your grandparents property. I bet they are counting their blessings now though. But wow what a hit. I remember talking on BYC to some newcomers in statin island about a month ago. It looks like it is under ssome water now. I pray everyone is safe in these areas hit by the storm. That is great! My cousin & his wife still don't have power and may not for several weeks yet. They are in North Caldwell, New Jersey and live on a dead end dirt road with only 5 houses. The line is down going to their road. They are considered "low priority". They still consider themselves lucky and they didn't have too much wind or rain damage to their home which is an old barn.We FINALLY got our power back yesterday. Thank goodness! It's nice to live in the 21st century again! LOL Still, we were very lucky. We hardly got any snow on Wednesday as well, so I was happy about that since I had to work both Wednesday and Thursday. Princeton wasn't so lucky though! It was BAD down there Wednesday night!
