Anyone ready to ring in the new year...and lose weight/get fit?

I feel better!!!! I have energy!! I have ENERGY! I've been eating too!! Last night I ate my entire plate of stir fry! (homemade, so not icky!)... I managed to do TWO DAYS of housecleaning - and I made plans for today. They fell through but the point is I'd have NEVER made plans on a Friday (since I tend to get jobs on Friday and the duality of social endeavors and work overruns me usually). I'm feeling good!!

I wish I had a scale so I could tell you I gained, but hey! I think I did! My arms aren't shaking from exertion anymore, anyway.

I feel all those smilies and then some!!! My eyes don't feel sunken in and exhausted anymore!

I'm hoping to gain more weight than I lost, I think. I really think if I do I may stop getting so sick so often. I was hospitalized 3 times last year.

I started this huge thread, and I haven't checked in in like forever, so here's a quick update:
I haven't been doing great, but I haven't been doing too bad either.
I've cut back on snacks at night, and I replaced my morning chocolate milk with coffee. Although I put a lot of milk and sugar in it, it still isn't nearly as bad as chocolate milk.
Its kinda hard to lose weight in our household because we eat out quite a bit and mom buys/bakes a lot of cookies and such.
But I weigh about 140# now, so I suppose I've dropped about 2 pounds.

It seems like you all are doing very well, congradulations!

Yes you did Nupine!! Thanks for letting us know how you're doing. Hey, anything is better than nothing. I think most of us are trying to work on lifestyle changes, not just lose weight. Although, losing weight is a nice bonus

Ok just editing this post cause no one has been on since I wrote it!!!!!
I haven't posted my weight yet today. Hope you guys are still doing this????
I am sooo not doing very well right now with the weight loss. I am now 151?????? I am 1 lb higher than when I started back in January?????
However I do enjoy the company on here. I am more aware of how I have made bad choices in what I eat and am working on that to get it right.
I wish I was at least a stone lighter. If I only lost 12/14 lbs I would be sooo happy. I think I made unrealistic goals though and that is why I have not reached them.
So I am going to say - In 6 months time by the start of September I would like to think I have lost that stone? It gives me a good long way to go and no pressure. I also have the summer months where we are by nature more active and brighter and tend to eat better - more salads etc.

Anyhow I really don;t like the way I look right now so I need to be working on that for me!!! I also need to think positively that I have already lost 20 lbs!!! Ok I put a few back on but I have done that so I need to hold onto that. Had I not done that I would be sitting here today a whole lot heavier than I am.

Keep it up everyone and don;t be discouraged. I know I had a really black time when I got back from Spain. But my Paws are faward facing now and I am determined to have a better go at this.
