I was going to fill my dinner bowl with pasta alfredo last night but remembered that today was weigh in day so I scraped most of it back. . . ahhhhhhhhh, the sacrifices we make!!

I'm amazed because I keep losing weight when all I've really done is cut back on the coffee creamer and mostly cut out the junk. I could be a little better at that, so I'll work on that this week since I'm so glad to be under 170 (okay, not by much, but every ounce counts).

it is amazing how just the little things can count, like parking further away, or cutting out the second slice of toast.
Congratulations! I think every time we break a 10's unit we have a right to be very proud of ourselves.
 
See those things really get to me cause I have cut out stuff - loads of stuff and you guys know that. I have done lots of walking and everything and yet I can;t lose weight????

Same, same, same. I've been doing strength training 3x per week and aerobics at least 4x, but the exercise is not enough. My legs and chest (of course) are smaller but my belly is the same darn size....

Last night margaritas with the ladies, tonight boyscout feast with a dessert cookoff....

And I volunteered at the food pantry today, where they had lots of sweets for the volunteers, including frosted two bite brownies. I had more than two bites.

Plateaus bite. It sucks to be stuck at a weight, even though you're doing "all the right things". Just remember that you're doing more than just decreasing your weight - you're also increasing your health. Your heart will thank you by being healthier, even if your scale is an ungrateful so-and-so.

I'm stuck at 138. Ah well...
 
Well I lost 1 pound... this was a hard week my 9th wedding anniversary was on the 14th and DH brought me home doughnuts twice! So I ate only one each time.... don't wanna hurt his feelings ya know. Any how I'm looking forward to really working on it hard this week. I added my mom to the spread sheet finally! Thanks for letting her join everyone! She's very excited about it.
 
You ladies are doing well!! Even you plateauing ones - it really does mean *health* not just weight! You can do iiiiitttt!!! I'll be your cheerleader!!!



Update on moi:

Good: I am feeling GREAT. Heaps of energy and my husband said he could see the weight gain in my face and hands. (My wedding ring actually fell off the other week.

) He also said I looked like I gained 2 or 3 kilos (5-6 pounds) in the last week and I was beaming! Bonus: haven't had a single blemish in a week!

Bad: My hands are peeling? Is this diet related? I'm having enough Vit C - heaps, even. I drink lots of juice and eat tons of veggies. I had carbohydrates for dinner as well as protein... vit a... b vits.. zinc.. magnesium.... but my hands are REALLY peeling.. like getting weird blisters first and then just all the skim coming off.... whut?

Mid: I haven't actually gained a thing.

I checked my weight today. I'm plateued too... but I feel fantastic other than my hands are falling off.. so good??

He has been to the doctor twice in the last week, and went for some bloodwork on Friday. His doctor is baffled. I will let you know when I find anything out, but his is exactly what you described! It started on his thumbs and now it is on all of his fingers. He doesn't act like it bothers him, though.
