Anyone ready to ring in the new year...and lose weight/get fit?

You are all helping me to stay motivated too.

Sundays are my "free day" and we had a potluck dinner at church. Even so, I didn't eat near as much as I usually do, and I was full!

I've been to the gym for my big day. One day a week I double up and do aerobic exercise and strength training. I need a nap!!!!! I think this exercise stuff is supposed to give you more energy, but so far...I just want a nap!

My doctor's office has one of those fat model things. It's gross, and I need about four of them mounted on my refrig and my pantry.

I love all the support I get here, and that other people are going through the same struggles.

I was down to 159 first thing this morning, but think I was a bit dehydrated as we were celebrating my eldest's b'day last night and had quite a few glasses of sparkly!!

I'll be weighing in tonight at work (want to keep doing it on the same scale)...I'll let y'all know tomorrow...

Oh, and NATURALLY I came down with a nasty chest cold right at the beginning of all this, so I can't excercise!!

Well Sunday is probably the hardest day for me I guess. We have family here and all that seems to happen is eating and eating!!!!!
The kids are young and burn it off but I just have to look at it and I gain inches. For example -
Breakfast - I try and be sensible and opt for one slice of toast, DH grabs the toast from the toaster and smothers it with lashing of butter and plops a great big spoonful of Jam on it. Then for coffee break mid morning DH decides hes going for Donuts. After that its lunch. Once again I opt for the healthy option having dodged the donut feast! I go for a slice of toast with an egg on. I end up with lashings of unwanted butter on that too. Mid afternoon Dd arrives with cream cakes we are each "allocated" a particular one!!!!!

I go into Sunday dinner mode and the chicken is cooking so I put some potatos on and am preparing fresh veg. - But the family want roast potato so I turf them into the oven with Goose fat , garlic and mixed herbs - they smell lovely and are DDs favourite. Its her Birthday so I am doing them for her. Dd and her BF like Banoffee pie so we have that again this weekend with yeap lashings of cream - not on a side so we can "choose" but spread thick all over the top!!!!! I just about managed to give myself the smallest portion of dinner and dessert without too many odd looks. But its not going to help because I got DD a catterpiller cake( It is chocolate sponge) cause she wanted it. But DH also got her a cake cause he doesn;t like Chocolate, (Who's Birthday is this???) Then when my brain injured son turned up, we found he had been practicing "cake" making with his care worker and so decided to make his sister one???????????? - Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I do believe he just loves you 'fluffy'

My husband is a diet demolisher too.
The best thing that I can do is eat what he offers, but eat slowly, and just eat less.
It bothers him when I cut back. I guess he doesn't like change.

OESDOG, since your hubby loves to cook give him the challenge of trying to cook special for you. tell him you are trying to be healthy so you can live a long life with him and ask him to help you.. he might enjoy the challenge since he likes to cook.
