Anyone ready to ring in the new year...and lose weight/get fit?

Didn;t weigh in today though I did see a 10.11 on the scale yesterday which means I lost 2 lbs since I gained 3 lbs.
However today has been a bit of a disaster in the weight loss -
Breakfast - DH " oh I put 2 slices of toast on for you, sure you know you want them!!!!!" 2 slices of buttered toast with lashings of Jam soon apeared.
11am coffe break - DD arrives and I end up eating two biscuits That I told myself I woulldn;t touch!!!!
Lunch was late because of the kids beign here. I ate a plum because I was trying to be good then DH opened a muller rice with vanilla sauce for me!!!!!! Ugh I ate it.
It was not what I wanted to eat but it was way gone lunch. Afternoon I curcumed to the honey oat biscuit I had left in the cupboard!!!!!
Dinner - I tried to make up for everything bad with a healthy quiche and salad - then DH made dessert it was a kind of pavlova thing his sister had left him to try and he put loads of cream and strawberries and chocolate sauce and chocolate buttons all over!!!!!!! THis was a megga sugar rush.
How will I ever get my family to understand I want to lose weight and be thin!!!!!

Someone asked if our families were supporting us a while back - well truth is my family are lovely and great and supporting - BUT NOT IN THE DIET!!!!!! THey take it as a personal slate if I say NO to anything they have lovingly produced!!!!!!! I am domed to be a fat dog for life!!!!!!!!

Still I know if I had not got that 2 lb off - then I would be fatter tomorrow than if I had not done that cause then I would have to add today to the 3 from before when now I only have to add today to 1lb - or something like that - ok I am trying to be possitive.

Oh the dessert was lovely!!!!! I HATE FOOD!!!!!!!!!!

I have indeed tried all of those things and they still keep giving me food!!!!!! Now my SIL cathy is back from Scotland it will only get worse because she is an incredible cook and baker!!!!! DH and her are already planning several cook off and BBQs - all of which of course I will be called upon to sample and if I don;t I will be the worst in the world for not taking part in the fun and so I just know those tacktics wont work unless I want to fall out with them all!!!
Gosh Billy Cathys DH is enormous!!!! He is fantastic in his Kilt like one of those toss the cabre with one hand types!!!!!! ( I just worry if my Dinning room chairs will survive his weight on them

I weighed in again today just to check and I am still on 10st 11lbs - so I kept off that 2 lb dispite the sugar rush!!!!! I really have to get into this better though I think it will be easier with the better weather and the salads comming out!!!! At least when the BBQs are on I can fill my plate with that and look like I am eating BIG!!!!!!

Oesdog... I don't know how over weight you are... but you might consider having a physical. Perhaps your family will listen when a Dr tells your family that you need to take better care of yourself by eating smart.

Somehow I don;t think that will work either - DH had a heart attack and heart surgery and I had a cancer scare and surgery and I also have Asthma and Fibromyalga all of which they are aware of!!!!!

I am not as overweight as I once was as at one time I was 12stone and believe me on a little woman of just about 5 foot on tip toe that doesn;t look good!!!!

You know what... I weighed in yesterday and it was back up to 157! I was so mad.... disappointed... whatever you want to call it.


Then I weigh in this morning before breakfast and the scale sales 155.6. For real? I try to only weigh in after I get up, before breakfast. Yesterday I weighed in late.... when I check this regularly There is usually 1-1.5lb difference from morning to evening. Just to inform anyone who insists on weighing themselves after breakfast or evening. DON'T! Its so off it'll make you loopy!

grrr...last wk I had a huge gain..this wk I lost only the .4 ounces...I worked out too!

Soo discouraged....but I did splurge for my anniversary dinner..but still I didnt splurge way much...
I am soooo upset and irked w/myself for not doing better..I am fighting being angry w/myself too now...

I worked so darn hard to get to where I was from 186...I cannot believe I am 130 again..my weight is going UP UP UP again...
I was 126-128 in a volley back n forth...I wasnt happy but it was like ok, I didnt gain again..ok I didnt lose much...but now i'm 130 on the nose...
and am sooo upset w/myself...
 
OHHHHHHHH yes, now I remember why I do yoga and not cardio!!!!!!

My asthma is sooooo not happy, guess it is going to be an inhaler kind of afternoon.

I have been keeping my own weight loss weekly chart in a note book at home. Monday's are my weigh in day, I'll post my numbers on the chart tomorrow.
 
If you want you can pop your weight on the chart too and an aim for weight - your doing the same as the rest of us!!! - Were all trying to be healthy and eat the right things. We are all struggling to be the "right weight" for our height, we are also trying to make better choices with our diet and excersize more and have a healthier lifestyle - it is NOT just about losing weight but more being healthy and makeing good choices, for you this is gaining weight so that you are the best weight for you!!!

Salad is great for filling up without filling up. We had fish last night (baked in parchment) and it was soo good. Had it with a huge salad with homemade vinaigrette. Yum. Very tasty and totally guilt-free. Even got all the salad greens from our backyard! Salad helps a lot.
