Mistakenly bought like 10 bags of pellets (in a hurry with 6 year old in tow) as opposed to crumble and production came to a screeching halt. Literally zero eggs since food change. That being said, one of the 7 gallon buckets still had a few inches of crumble in it, so their normal food was still available for a while.
Other variable... they've had less time free ranging after we lost one to a predator of some sort. As a result, they've been restricted to coop and run since 11/9 as well. However, that's never slowed production before. 17, well now 16, hens and 400 square ft run.
Having production temporarily stop with these conditions would make sense, but to have stopped entirely for this long is kind of odd. Only other oddity was that 11/11 was close to a record low for the area. Below freezing in Florida in early Nov might have also thrown them for a loop. That only lasted about 18 hours though. Close to record highs sense.
All hatched in April of 2023.
Thoughts?
